TaxAutomation WebToolKit

The TaxAutomation WebToolKit allows for simple, intuitive, browser based administration of your Taxware application. It completely eliminates the need for third party software components (e.g. STEP® client software, FTP, Telnet, xWindows) on the desktop PC of Taxware users and therefore provides 'realtime' interaction with your Taxware® system.

Standard Reports:
Running Taxware reports becomes as easy as opening a browser and clicking a button to run the desired report. You enter the selection criteria and see the result immediately in your web browser. From here you can print and save the results on your PC.

Exemption Certificates:
Updates to your exemption certificates take effect immediately. No more upload of files. With the TaxAutomation WebToolKit you simply maintain one certificate at a time and the certificate is immediately updated into Taxware's® STEP system on your Taxware server. In addition, it is possible to scan the certificate original directly from within the WebToolKit and attach the scanned image to the certificate record. These scanned images can then be viewed/printed individually or via a selection program which allows selection by a variety of criterias like customer numbers, dates, locations, etc.

Custom Reports:
Create your own reports and extracts with the integrated TaxAutomation ReportWriter tool. With a few simple clicks, you can build your own reports and extracts for audit defense and reconciliation purposes. You don't need to be a programmer or wait for your IT department, to get the data you need! Since our WebToolKit also archives your audit file data into a database, you have access to historic transaction data as well.

Tax Calculator:
Verify tax calculations or simply look up a tax rate based on a particular ship-from / ship-to scenario. Enter as much data you have available into our simple but useful utility and getting a tax calculation is just one mouse click away.

AutoUpdate:
The WebToolKit COMPLETELY automates all aspects of your monthly Taxware data file updates. Update all your Taxware instances or perform master file replacements with the click of a button or simple schedule this activity to run automatically at a time interval that you define. The AutoUpdate status screen shows you exactly when your Taxware instances have been updated and what version numbers have been applied.

Worldtax:
The WebToolKit is not only a complete online management solution for your Taxware Sales/Use, Nexpro, STEP and Verazip modules – it now also offers browser based access for the Taxware Worldtax module. Access your company profile, registration numbers, Suspense File Editor, Commodity Code Conversion and all Worldtax reports thru the WebToolKit.

Operating environment:
The TaxAutomation WebToolKit is a software solution developed in JSP (Java Server Pages) and is available for the following operating systems:

LINUX, AIX, SOLARIS, HP-UX, NT, Windows2000. It requires hardware, a JSP runtime environment (Web Application Server), a database system (DB2, ORACLE, SQLServer, PostGreSQL) and an HTTP Server to be functional. The hardware includes an operating system, Web Application Server, database, and HTTP server. This is what we define as the WebToolKit operating environment.

We give our customers the option to provide their own operating environment for our software, or to obtain a preconfigured/preinstalled operating environment from TaxAutomation.
